This course is designed to deepen and further develop the content covered in the introductory courses on the sport of volleyball.
The goal of the course is to build upon the athletic development of coordination, conditioning, and tactics.
Planned content:
- Strength circuit to reinforce specific movement patterns
- Various types of attack shots
- Receiving and improving ball control
- Defensive play as a team (blocking, coordinated blocking, and team coordination on the court)
- Deepening understanding of or learning the rotation system (5-1) and various positions
In collaboration with the students, a 5-hour program will be developed, divided into a warm-up/strength circuit, two separate technical sessions, and a game session. At the end of the course, a final tournament will be held with the participants.
Prerequisites for participation include mastery of the fundamentals of volleyball—specifically, the set and the pass, general attacking techniques, and serves—as well as basic knowledge of on-court positioning and, above all, motivation and a willingness to learn.
